This is the first book I have read from this author. I love the cover as it has great shelf appeal.

This book was a fast ride from start to finish, and was a quick read from me. I can only imagine what it would be like to be on a plane 36k feet in the air and realize you might not make it out alive. There was a lot of action in this book, eventhough I found a few things to be problematic. TJ did a fantastic job of sucking you into such a tense atmosphere making you fear for your life, and making your heart skip a beat.

If you are a thriller reader looking for an intense book that’s fast paced with plenty of action and drama, pick this book up today!!!

PHEW! This debut novel from Newman is chock full of action and suspense and holy hell…. but before I start, props to the narrator, Steven Weber, for a fantastic read that kept me hooked from start to finish. Also, I kept thinking it was the actor but the voice didn’t fit and then… realized it wasn’t him. I wonder how many people thought the same. 🤣
I love that the author took her own experiences as a flight attendant to incorporate into this novel. It clearly shows and it’s something I always applaud in books. And the pacing in this is FAST. Please fasten your seatbelts and keep your tray tables in their locked positions! How do you decide if you’d rather have your family killed or to crash a plane full of people? HOW DO YOU CHOOSE? And honestly, I don’t even care how plausible some parts of this may have been… I enjoyed the entire ride

I had some issue keeping up with who was who and what was going on and when and I’m not sure if that’s because I listened to this one instead of reading it with my eyes. We did get multiple POVs from air to ground and this cast of characters are fun bunch – especially the flight crew. Jo, I love you! I also appreciate making the “bad guys” not SO bad in certain scenes, depicting that they are also very human.

I kept thinking I would love to see this as a movie and it turns out it got optioned so you bet I’m going to watch the adaptation along with a huge bucket of popcorn. Exactly the read I needed right now.

I’m a nervous flier I like to have drinks before and on the plane to calm down. Not sure why I read Hostage last month and then read another scary plane book, but this one just sounded too good to pass up.

This one throws you into the story and doesn’t let up until the very end. Tons of excitement and suspense to keep you listening or turning the pages. I’ve seen some complaints on the end, but as someone who enjoys baseball I really liked it. A very strong and impressive debut and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Recommended to those who like their thrillers action packed
